ABOUT US

The Elementary Teacher’s Federation of Ontario (ETFO) is the largest teachers’ organization in Canada, outside of Quebec. ETFO represents 83,000 people, both teachers and educational workers in the public elementary schools of Ontario.

The ETFO North East Local represents approximately 300 teachers and 4200 elementary students located at 27 sites across the North Eastern portion of the Province of Ontario.
Our goal is to support our members with timely, professional, and confidential services. We encourage and support the personal and professional growth of our members through available professional development both at the Local and Provincial level. We believe in working together to promote fairness and mutual respect.
